  3. Criticisms aside, I rather like the Newsfeed for another news source. Especially with people who I otherwise would have no contact with. And some interesting events have transpired for me there. So subjective as to what the site is really. I can become an obsession of course. I'd be interested in your Timeline if I can find it. Although your blog is plenty thank you.

  4. Hi Gary. I think they've Timelined me. If not, I can fill you in myself and would love to know yours. This post might be spelled "Bad Mood." My basic Facebook concern is with the conundrum that things that at first appear to be (or are at least called) "social" are really the opposite of that, solipsistic exercises. Obviously it doesn't need to be (and isn't necessarily in all cases) that way. As a sort of "lonely sociable" person on the somewhat isolated feeling back-end of a formerly busy career, living in a new place where I don't have any close friends (my lovely family more than makes up for this), this subject sometimes preoccupies me. Just home from the annual Academic Evening at my daughter's school. I attended tonight and excused my wife in order to earn good husband points and to see whether Living Death Theater could be once again revived as an annual presentation. Eureka -- it was! Actually, there are always some useful nuggets to be gleaned, but unfortunately not enough. Curtis
