Selfie-Aggrandizing:
The photograph released by the White
House yesterday marking Nelson Mandela’s passing, showing Barack Obama in poseur mode safely and pseudo-solemnly ensconced in Mandela’s Robben Island jail cell makes you mentally search for a term of speech that would be
the opposite of “prisoner of conscience.” Bird-murderer applies, of course, but
is not the one I'm looking for. I've heard British friends use "tosser," to cover all manner of
stupid, crude, beneath contempt behavior. Let's try "tosser." And again.
